End Game? Japanese 30 Year Bond Yield Passes 4% For First Time Ever!

Japanese flag, rising candlestick chart and text: 'End Game? Japanese 30 Year Bond Yield Passes 4% For First Time Ever!'

Let this number sink in: Japan has run the printing press harder than anyone on Earth for three decades, and its 30-year bond just crossed 4% for the FIRST TIME EVER. US and UK 30-years at multi-decade highs alongside it. The world’s three biggest debt experiments are getting repriced at the same time, and bond yields rising while central banks WANT them low is the sound of control slipping.

Update, August 2026: Martin Armstrong put a ranking on exactly this when he joined the SilverTrade Insider. “You’ve got three sovereign debt crises on the table. You got Japan, Europe, and the Middle East with the Gulf States” (26:21). His pick for first domino: “If you just look at the numbers, you’d have to say Japan’s going to be the first to go” (26:43). And his warning about what follows is the part to remember: like Greece in 2010, the moment one goes, “the traders immediately say, who’s next?” (27:04).

Gold and silver don’t need a forecast here. They just need bondholders asking that question.
