“I OWN ZERO GOLD” Harry Dent Says Gold May CRASH 70% to 2015 Levels!

Harry Dent says gold may crash nearly 70% to 2015 levels

HE’S BAAACK!

Harry Dent is back on Kitco News with another gold crash call, this time insisting the metal must fall 60 to 70 percent back to its 2015 levels before it can deliver the biggest rally in history sometime after 2028.

In his latest interview, Dent told Jeremy Szafron that gold has finally joined the everything bubble, OWNS ZERO GOLD HIMSELF, and sees long term Treasuries as the only real safe haven.

Sure Harry, sure.

The problem is that Dent has been issuing nearly identical gold crash warnings for YEARS, and the metal has repeatedly refused to cooperate.

In the latest appearance Dent argued that stocks, real estate, gold, and silver have all inflated together on the back of massive stimulus. “Gold and silver join the bubble. Everything has now bubbled,” he said. He expects gold to correct at least 60 to 70 percent to return to long term trend lines, which would take it back to the 2015 to 2016 lows.

Only after that washout, he claims, will gold enter a multi decade advance starting around 2028 or 2029. He also said he is selling his own house and plans to short the first leg of a stock market drop with leveraged inverse funds.

This is not a new script. In early 2023 Dent told Kitco that gold would fall to $900 or $1,000 by mid 2024 as the biggest crash of our lifetimes continued. Gold was trading near $1,930 at the time. It did not collapse to those levels. Instead it went on to make a series of new highs.

In 2017 and 2018 Dent was projecting gold down to $400 to $450. Those targets also never arrived. Gold bottomed near $1,050 in 2015 and then climbed for years.

Even more recently, Dent spent 2025 warning that late 2025 or mid 2025 would be the ideal window for the everything bubble to burst and for gold to drop roughly 70 percent toward its 2015 lows. Those windows closed without the crash.

Gold kept rising, central banks kept buying, and Dent simply moved the goalposts to the next cycle of interviews.

A September 2026 appearance had him calling for a 68 percent drop from levels near $4,400 or higher.

The metal is still nowhere near that wipeout.

Dent’s broader crash calls have followed a similar pattern of dramatic forecasts that fail to materialize on schedule. He has repeatedly described the post 2009 advance as the greatest bubble in history and warned of 50 to 90 percent stock market declines that would wipe out years of gains.

Markets have experienced corrections, including the 2022 downturn, but none of the historic wipeouts he has timed with such confidence. His demographic models correctly anticipated the late 2000s peak in some respects, yet the subsequent decade of stimulus and asset inflation has not produced the long deflationary depression he expected on his original timeline.

In the latest interview Dent remains unfazed. He calls the current setup “the crash of our lifetimes” and says gold is not a safe haven this time because it has bubbled so much.

He prefers long term Treasuries! and sees a decade of deflation ahead once the bubble finally bursts. After the crash he expects gold to lead the next commodity cycle into the 2060s, driven in part by Indian demand.

For anyone who has followed his gold forecasts for more than a decade, the claim that this time the metal really will crash 60 to 70 percent before its historic rally arrives with a familiar caveat. Dent has made the same basic prediction multiple times.
So far the only consistent outcome has been that gold has not crashed on his schedule.
