Peter Schiff Warns DEBT CRISIS Will Drive the Next BIG MOVE in Gold

Peter Schiff says the gold and silver bull market is not over!

Peter Schiff returned to the microphone with a clear message that the current pullback in gold is NOT the end of the move.

In the collab interview with our friend Vince Lanci’s GoldFix & Competant Investor’s Tom Bodrovics, Schiff argued that rising bond yields and persistent inflation are about to force markets to recognize that Federal Reserve rate adjustments are too small to offset the real loss of purchasing power. The result, he said, will be another sharp advance in gold and silver once investors stop treating the recent dip as a reason to sell.

Schiff pointed to the scale of the problem. He noted that the Federal Reserve’s limited rate hikes have not matched the unexpected acceleration in prices, leaving real rates negative even as nominal yields climb. In his view the bond market is already broken: yields rise on good news and bad news alike because buyers no longer trust that the government can service its debt without further money creation. He described the situation as one in which “the emperor has no clothes” and said markets are approaching the moment when that becomes obvious to more investors.

The same dynamics that have supported gold’s multi year advance remain in place. Schiff emphasized that central banks continue to shift reserves toward gold while the United States runs large deficits that require ongoing financing. He expects the next leg higher to be driven by investors who conclude that higher bond yields will not outpace inflation.

On the question of a broader market crash, he acknowledged that equities and credit could face pressure, yet he maintained that gold and silver would ultimately benefit as capital seeks an asset that cannot be printed.

This interview continues the theme Schiff outlined in his earlier conversation with SilverTrade Insider.

In that discussion he stressed the long term case for physical metals as the only reliable hedge against currency debasement and the fiscal consequences of large scale government borrowing.

The latest comments reinforce that view with updated emphasis on the interaction between bond yields, inflation data, and the limited ability of the Federal Reserve to raise rates without triggering further stress in housing and credit markets.

Schiff’s consistent message across both appearances is that the structural problems in public debt and monetary policy have not been resolved and that physical gold and silver remain the practical response for those who want to protect purchasing power while the adjustment plays out.
