CIA Official Caught With $40 MILLION in Gold Bars & $2 MILLION in Foreign Currency Hidden in His Office – FBI Raids Home

FBI agents just arrested a senior CIA official named David Rush after finding 303 gold bars (each 1 kg) worth over $40 million stashed inside his Virginia home.

The FBI also seized $2 million in cash (foreign currency) and nearly three dozen luxury watches -mostly  Rolexes.

According to court documents, Rush had requested and received tens of millions of dollars in gold bars plus large amounts of foreign currency from the CIA for “work-related expenses” between November 2025 and March 2026.

When the agency completed an internal audit… most of it was missing.

The FBI raid happened on May 18.

Rush was arrested the next day on charges of theft of public money (he allegedly completely fabricated his credentials including his college degree, and also faked Navy Reserve status to collect extra pay).

This is straight out of a spy thriller — except it’s real.

A senior intelligence official with top-secret clearance allegedly walking out of the CIA with $40+ million in physical gold?

The story is wild. The implications are wilder.

What do you think was really going on here?
