Some legends talk. Bill Murphy has RECEIPTS.
He co-founded GATA with Chris Powell in 1998 (1:26). He sued the Federal Reserve (yes, the FED) and WON in February 2011, forcing out the minutes of the April 1997 G-10 gold and foreign exchange committee (7:16). When the CFTC wouldn’t let JP Morgan whistleblower Andrew Maguire testify at the 2010 metals hearing, it was Murphy who read Maguire’s letter into the public record while the commissioners sat stone-faced (10:19). And in September 2020, JP Morgan paid $920 MILLION to settle CFTC charges over thousands of spoofing episodes in metals and Treasury futures from 2008 to 2016 (13:06). Twenty years of mainstream scoffing. One settlement of vindication.
Retired? Sort of. He admits he sold his silver “too early, back in the high 50s” (17:33). Happens to legends too. But he’s bought his mining shares BACK (21:23), and he’s not mincing the outlook that gives this post its headline: “It’ll be something to behold this summer if I’m right” (20:20). His call, on the record, with a season attached.
This tribute is SilverTrade’s own sit-down with the man. The receipts above are why he earned it.
