How to read these figures
- Primary sources: every figure is the company's own, cited to the release or filing it came from.
- Fixed cohorts: the companies in each median are set for the calendar year, so a median never moves because membership moved.
- No modelled costs: no cost or margin here is estimated by us; where a company states no figure, the page says so.
About DRDGOLD Limited
DRDGOLD Limited (DRD) is a South African domiciled company that holds assets engaged in surface gold tailings retreatment in South Africa, including exploration, extraction, processing and smelting. Its operations focus on South Africa's Witwatersrand Basin, a gold producing region for over 135 years. The company was incorporated in South Africa on February 16, 1895, as Durban Roodepoort Deep, Limited, and changed its name to DRDGOLD Limited on December 3, 2004. Its shares trade on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange and the A2X, and its registered office is at Constantia Office Park, Weltevreden Park, South Africa. Surface tailings retreatment involves the extraction of gold from old mine dumps and slimes dams, comprising the waste material from earlier underground gold mining activities. The metallurgical plants use carbon-in-leach processes to recover gold from slurry. Sibanye-Stillwater's shareholding in the company was 50.1% as at June 30, 2025. In fiscal year 2025, DRDGOLD produced 155,288 ounces of gold.

How to read this page
Costs are the company's own consolidated all-in sustaining cost (gold, silver) or C1 cash cost (copper), as stated, on the basis the company states; the reference price is the quarter's average from World Bank Commodity Price Data (CC BY 4.0); the margin is that price less the stated cost, a production-cost spread and not company net profit; financials are as filed in the filing currency, never converted; report dates are confirmed from the company's notice or estimated from its own past pattern and say which. The full methodology is on the Miner Margins page.
