Money Printing Ends- Gold Survives EVERYTHING! -Marc Faber

In a recent interview with VRIC Media, Dr. Marc Faber, editor and publisher of the Gloom, Boom & Doom Report, laid out a stark view of the global financial landscape. Faber argued that the world remains trapped in a long-term commodity and interest-rate upcycle driven by relentless money printing, war, and the steady erosion of purchasing power.

He began by examining how decades of monetary expansion have steadily destroyed the real value of paper currencies. Faber contended that central banks have created a situation in which money printing no longer functions as a reliable solution to economic problems. Instead, he said, continued intervention is becoming counterproductive and is increasingly likely to undermine bonds, currencies, and the effectiveness of future bailouts.

Faber sees commodities entering a multi-year upcycle. He expects interest rates to keep rising as markets gradually reprice the risks of persistent inflation and fiscal excess. In his view, measuring wealth in gold terms rather than in depreciating fiat currencies reveals a very different picture of real prosperity. Gold’s recent surge, he suggested, is a rational response to declining trust in the U.S. dollar and in Western financial systems more broadly.

Central banks themselves, Faber noted, have been accumulating gold as confidence in dollar-centric arrangements weakens. He questioned whether the United States is drifting toward greater state control over economic activity and examined the rise of stablecoins, digital surveillance tools, and the future of cash. While he believes physical cash will survive, he also discussed the possibility that gold and silver could regain monetary roles in a world of eroding trust in paper money.

On specific metals, Faber continues to favor platinum alongside gold and silver. He pointed to structural commodity shortages and constrained future supply as supporting factors for higher prices over time. In his assessment, central banks are increasingly trapped: further money printing risks accelerating the loss of confidence in the system they are trying to stabilize.

The interview closed with Faber discussing the purpose of the Gloom, Boom & Doom Report and recommending certain economists and reading materials for those seeking a clearer understanding of long-term monetary and market cycles. Overall, his message was that investors should focus on real assets capable of preserving purchasing power as traditional monetary tools lose effectiveness.
